MISSION STATEMENT
To provide COMFORT and
SAFETY to pets of all kinds while they remain in their most familiar
environment: home.
To do this while they remain free from anxiety and
danger, and while nurturing them with proper exercise, proper reinforcement,
social interaction (interspecies & human), and above all, love.
To provide pet owners with the piece of mind that their beloved companions
are safe at home, and never denied the exercise, reinforcement,
socialization, diet, training, and love they deserve.
PHILOSOPHY
The earth was made for man
and man was made to rule it" - A concept as written by Daniel Quinn through
his character Ishmael on the self destructive ideals of our culture.
The management and staff at Home Sweet Home Pet Care Providers, believes
strongly the antithesis; "The earth was made for all, and man was made to
keep it."
There is an unspeakable bond between man and animal that cannot be denied.
They are our planetary brethren, our protectors as well as our dependents.
They are our companions.
"The difference between the animal owner and the animal lover is that the
animal owner will eventually be faced with the inconvenience of it all.
The animal lover will blindly accept the same as duty, and thus knows not
the meaning of the word."
It is our responsibility to honor this commitment, and not to allow
"inconvenience" to sway our patience when dealing with animals. No one said
it would be "convenient" to preserve the earth. But whom else shall it fall
upon?
COMPANY PROFILE
~We are a
family owned and operated company – you can always trust that we need and
want our reputation to remain intact.
~We are insured, bonded, accredited with the BBB, highly referred on Angie's
List, members of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, the only pet care co.
referred by area veterinarians, and proud to serve over 350 families in the
Greater Hartford area.
~All employees are fully background checked and drug tested. They are
shadowed & trained via a 4 week program before being assigned work.
~You can read the profile of each caregiver that works for us and know that
each bio is a genuine account.
~All caregivers and walkers are fitted with company Blackberrys to keep them
in touch via phone, email, picture, text, and video communication.
~Complimentary in-home meet and greet consultation.
~All caregivers and walkers are fitted with Garmin or Sprint GPS navigation
so that we can always get to where we need to be.
~We do not believe in the practices of sub contractor employment which
leaves too much responsibility in limbo. All team members are employees of
the company.
~We always have a backup caregiver in line for each job. Emergencies can
happen at any time.
~When and if we do decide to assign another caregiver to a specific job, it
is always carefully considered. Any current clients that it may effect, will
always be notified and approved through before services continue. A new
petsitter will never just show up at the door!
~Clients with concerns are forever encouraged to come to us and we will
never forward you to an automated voice prompter! Yay!
~We will always clean pet messes, and pickup on our walks. We sweep, vacuum,
and wipe down the areas we have used during overnight sessions. We leave
your house as we found it and help you with whatever little chores we can.
~We always update with every visit and encourage our clients to call as
often as they’d like. We’ll answer any questions, and provide as many
references as you’d like.
~We work always communicate our unavailability or the substitution of
another caregiver with our clients.
~We are open to any type of pet care request -as strange as it may seem. If
it is not something that we can accommodate, we will say so.
~We service nights, weekends, and holiday overnights but ask for reasonable
compensation - namely time and a half on holidays.
~We will always try to match any of our competitor’s prices and so recommend
that you call us last. We cannot guarantee we’ll beat their price and cannot
pay for your pet care if we can’t. That’s for infomercials.
~We operate with the long term in mind and pay for our employees fuel should
they travel out of their service area, work late, or work on holidays. We do
not want a high turnover rate.
~We love any opportunity to work with new pets, and even if this website
doesn’t seem to be what you’re looking for, encourage you to call and talk
with one of us anyway.
