"The earth was made for man and man was made to rule it" - A concept as written by Daniel Quinn through his character Ishmael on the self destructive ideals of our culture.
The management and staff at Home Sweet Home Pet Care Providers, believes strongly the antithesis; an ideal that rings true with more people than we realize and more than who care to admit it; an ideal that rings even more true as time shows us the mistakes we've made and the fates which may befall us; an ideal that we feel is held more closely now than ever before; an ideal that more likely states - "The earth was made for all and man was made to keep it."
We believe that the human race has beset itself with the obligation to protect the earth and all that has come with it. We have an obligation to the plants that grow from it, the animals that wander through it, the mountains that stand atop it, and undoubtedly, an obligation to care for the animals that we have taken into our homes.
We domesticated animals because there is an unspeakable bond between man and canine, man and feline that cannot be denied. They are our planetary brethren, our protectors, our companions. And to those whom this philosophy sets well with, they are our equals. Let us fulfill our role, and take care of our furry, scaly, fishy, and feathery friends.
"The difference between the animal owner and the animal lover is that the animal owner will eventually be faced with the inconvenience of it all. The animal lover will blindly accept the same as duty, and thus knows not the meaning of the word." It is our responsibility to honor this commitment, and to not allow "inconvenience" to sway our patience when dealing with animals. No one said it would be "convenient" to preserve the earth. But whom else shall it fall upon?
